Just in case you’re not familiar, Borderlands is a first person shooter where there are a bunch of different kinds of guns and millions of variants on those kinds of guns. There are four classes. They each have a special action skill, they each have thirty subclass skills that are divided into 3 branches that each represent a subclass, they can wield any of the guns, and unlike the predecessor to the one I’m talking about, almost none of the classes specialize in any specific kind of gun. There’s several layers to be customized for all of the characters, and millions of variations to that. Guns, grenades, shields, elements, attachments, and perks are all there to be changed at any given moment.
Borderlands 2: Meet the Classes!

The Assassin: A katana/beam saber wielding ninja assassin named Zer0 who’s action skill is to turn invisible and send out a decoy. His melee is his sword. He specializes in sniper rifles, but his ability to use any of the other gun types is no lesser than that of the other classes. The focus of his style is critical hits, stealth, and effectiveness in both long and close ranges.

The Siren: A psychic powered young woman named Maya who has the ability Phaselock. A bubble she fires from her hands that expands upon hitting a target and freezes those caught in the expansion. The focus of her style is support and setting the pace, but she’s not shorthanded when it comes to doing damage in the least bit.

The Commando: A young soldier named Axton. He uses a turret that can be deployed at range or right next to him. Not unlike the Siren, he plays all roles well. He can be support, he can be the power attacker, and he can play the defensive.

The Gunzerker: A Dwarf-esque man with a love for guns. He is the true run and gunner of the game, with an ability that doesn’t require any tactical approach. He simply duel-wields, and he can duel-wield any guns he wants together. He’s great for crowd control and is truly the essence of double trouble.
